If you feel that you would like to help out and become a coach, the club may help you with funding towards the cost of your course. Please read the following document, this has been created to ensure we maintain the highest standards within our coaching team.
Tests to qualify as a DTC Coach
The aim of this document is to set some fundamental principles that the club will adhere to when selecting new coaches.
It is important that potential volunteer coaches understand that the club is not obliged to accept their offer, nor is the club obliged to give any reasons for their offer being declined.
The club will endeavour to make a contribution towards the cost of the course. However the club reserves the right to refuse funding.
All potential new coaches must.
Have a DBS check satisfactorily completed
Be a full member of Triathlon England
Have appropriate insurance cover
Believe and promote the ethos of Doncaster Triathlon Club
Show commitment to the club
Be a good listener
Be able to take constructive criticism
Be relatable with the athletes
Have the full confidence of the existing coaching team
Adhere to the Coaches Code of Ethics and Conduct
Be open minded
Only use material/drills/exercises that are not recommended by the club. For swimming this is Swim Smooth, Running: BTF or UKA approved, Cycling: BTF approved.
Agree to completing a 12 month probationary period.

Promote the services of any individual business or person without first getting approval from the Exec Committee.
